These Terms govern access to and use of the website https://emotion-institute.ch as well as the services offered by Emotion Institute.

Access to and use of the website, as well as the booking of services, imply full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms of Use.

If the user does not agree with all or part of these Terms, they are invited not to use the website or the services offered.

Emotion Institute is an independent practice operated as a sole proprietorship by Karima Reisinger, based in Basel, Switzerland, offering therapeutic support with a somatic, relational and systemic orientation, including Somatic Experiencing®, NARM®, family constellations, and related approaches.

3. Suspension or Refusal of Access

Karima Reisinger – Emotion Institute reserves the right to suspend or refuse access to the website or services in the event of a breach of these Terms or manifestly inappropriate use of the website.

Such measures may be taken without prior notice where circumstances justify it.

4. Links to Third-Party Websites

The website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

Karima Reisinger – Emotion Institute has no control over such websites and assumes no responsibility for their content, practices, or privacy policies.

It is the user’s responsibility to review the terms and policies applicable to those third-party websites.

  • Constitute a non-medical therapeutic support service

  • Do not represent medical or psychiatric treatment

  • Do not replace medical care where necessary

In case of emergency or acute crisis, it is the client’s responsibility to contact appropriate emergency services.

6. Booking of Sessions

Appointments are scheduled through the online booking system (Amelia).

Booking a session:

  • Is confirmed upon validation of the time slot and, where applicable, payment

  • Implies acceptance of the Informed Consent

  • Implies acceptance of these Terms

Emotion Institute reserves the right to refuse or reschedule an appointment for organizational or safety reasons.

7. Fees and Payments

Current fees are indicated on the website.

Payments may be processed via:

  • Stripe

  • PayPal

  • Gift Up (gift cards)

Payments are secured through the respective providers.

8. Cancellation and Modification

Cancellation terms are specified on the fees page.

Late cancellations may result in charges according to the conditions in effect.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the website (texts, images, structure, logo) is protected by copyright.

Any reproduction, distribution, or use without prior written authorization is prohibited.

10. Liability

Emotion Institute makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information published.

However:

  • No specific therapeutic outcome can be guaranteed

  • Emotion Institute shall not be held responsible for decisions made by users outside of sessions

11. Online Sessions

Online consultations involve the use of digital communication tools.

Emotion Institute cannot be held responsible for:

  • Technical failures beyond its control

  • Security issues related to the client’s equipment or network

12. International Clients

Services may be accessible to clients located outside Switzerland.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that remote consultation is permitted under the regulations of their country of residence.

13. Prior Mediation

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution.

Before initiating legal proceedings, mediation shall be attempted.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by Swiss law.

Subject to the prior mediation clause, any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Canton of Basel.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement relating to the use of the website and the services provided.

They supersede any prior agreement or communication relating to the same subject matter.

17. Amendments

Emotion Institute reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

The version published on the website shall prevail.

Legal Notice

In case of discrepancy between the French and English versions, the French version shall prevail.
